cāri-māsa rahi’ gauḍera bhakte vidāya dilā
nīlācalera saṅgī bhakta saṅgei rahilā

Synonyms

cari-masa rahi—remaining for four months; gauḍera bhakte—to the devotees coming from Bengal; vidāya dila—bade farewell; nīlācalera sangi—associates at Jagannātha Purī; bhakta—devotees; saṅgei—with; rahila—remained. 

Translation

The devotees who came from Bengal stayed with Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu for four consecutive months, and then the Lord bade them farewell. After the Bengali devotees departed, the devotees who were the Lord’s constant companions at Jagannātha Purī stayed with the Lord.
