Prabhupāda: As soon as… Just like dog, he does not know that he is controlled by the master, tch tch tch tch, chain. He does not know. He is thinking, “I am now free. Rau! Rau! Rau! Rau! Rau!” This is the position, no difference between the dog and so-called big, big men. If the dog thinks that he is free and he can jump over anywhere freely, is it possible? No. Fully controlled under the master. He has accepted this control.

Prabhupāda: So the Vedic conception is that the human society should be divided into four divisions, namely the brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya, vaiśya and śūdra, natural division. One section of the human society should work as the brain. Another section should work just like the arms, another section like the belly, another section like the leg. These four divisions are essential. That is also mentioned, cātur-varṇyaṁ mayā sṛṣṭaṁ guṇa-karma-vibhāgaśaḥ.
Room Conversation with Robert Gouiran
Prabhupāda: This anxiety there must be when we are in a different atmosphere. Just like we heard there was a plane crash. So we are traveling by plane. So as soon as we get on the plane, that anxiety is there. So the anxiety is caused on my boarding aeroplane. Anxiety is caused on account of my boarding aeroplane. So if I do not board a plane, then that anxiety is nowhere. So anyone who is existing in this material world, there must be anxieties. There must be anxieties. Exactly the same example, that as soon as I… It may be very nice plane; it doesn’t matter. But I know that it is unsafe. At any moment it can crash. Therefore there is anxieties. So similarly, we are, so long we are in the material platform, we cannot avoid anxieties.

Prabhupāda: …kill. Simply kill. Paśu-ghna. As soon as you become animal killer, Kṛṣṇa consciousness finished. Parīkṣit Mahārāja, vinā paśu-ghnāt. Except the persons who are killers of animals, everyone will be interested.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: One good thing is that there is generally a growing movement amongst American people, and I don’t know about other countries, for vegetarianism. People are becoming more and more… I think it is due to our books, Śrīla Prabhupāda. Book distribution, we are educating the people in that way.
Prabhupāda: Actually, we are educating. That’s a fact.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Many vegetarian societies now. [break]

So challenge was replied that “You are representing Dharmarāja. So you have come here to take away this person, and we are prohibiting. So you have challenged us. So first of all explain your position, whether you know what is dharma and what is adharma, who is punishable, under what circumstance one is punished, and one who is punished, where does he go?” Actually, all these descriptions are there in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, different types of hellish life, what kind of sinful activities are punished by what kind of hellish condition. Everything is there. In the Fifth Canto, everything is there. There are different planets where Yamarāja is there, how a dead man or the soul is taken there, the path—everything is in detail there. If you say it is mythology… Why you should say mythology? You have not seen the whole universe, how it is situated. You are simply imagining from this place. So your imagination, imaginology, and we have our mythology. So we have got some evidence, but you have no evidence. At least we have got some support of the books. But what you have got? You are simply imagining, “I think,” “I believe.” What is this nonsense? What is your proof? Everyone is saying “I believe.” Hundreds and thousands… And what is correct? Everyone… At least, we have got something correct. We don’t say “I believe.” This is not our process of knowledge. We, Kṛṣṇa conscious person, we never say “I believe.” No. We immediately quote from the ...

I understand that the government of the U.S.A. is disgusted with the so-called Swamis because they have exploited the people in so many ways. That is a fact. Under the circumstances, it will be difficult to get me admitted as a Swami, although I am...
