athānvāhārya-pacanād
utthito ghora-darśanaḥ
kṛtānta iva lokānāṁ
yugānta-samaye yathā

Synonyms

atha—thereafter; anvāhārya-pacanāt—from the fire known as Anvāhārya; utthitah—arisen; ghora-darsanah—appearing very fearful; kṛtāntaḥ—personified annihilation; iva—like; lokanam—of all the planets; yuga-anta—of the end of the millennium; samaye—at the time; yathā—just as. 

Translation

Thereafter, from the southern side of the sacrificial fire known as Anvāhārya came a fearful personality who looked like the destroyer of the entire creation at the end of the millennium.
