“ei sāta suvarṇa mohara āchila āmāra
ihā lañā dharma dekhi’ parvata kara pāra
Synonyms
ei sata—these seven; suvarṇa mohara—golden coins; achila—were; amara—mine; iha lañā—accepting them; dharma dekhi—observing religious principles; parvata—the hilly tract of land; kara para—kindly get me across. ¶
Translation
“I have these seven gold coins with me. Please accept them, and from a religious point of view please get me across that hilly tract of land. ¶
